Basharat G’z – 223-225 Allison Street, Glasgow, G42 8RU
Opened in August 2019, Basharat G’z emerged from the ashes of Lasani Grill and the short-lived Al-Anwar. In September 2020, Basharat moved on, the premises are now – Spice Haven.
Hector introduced himself to Basharat and his staff from the off. The promise of Desi Cuisine in the recently renovated premises had to be investigated. As is the norm in the Curry Cafes of the UK, Curry is served along with Kebab, Burger and Pizza.
Most visits feature the excellent Lamb Desi Karahi which Hector rates as being amongst the top five served in Glasgow. It is not just the authentic flavours, the quality of meat served here is also at the highest standard. For those who like – Interesting Vegetables – the Aloo Gobi is a standout also.
Most of their business is Takeaway so one can always expect to get a table.
