Kabana – 133 Cheetham Hill Rd., Manchester, M8 8LY England
This is the sister shop to the much celebrated Kabana in the Northern Quarter. Rizwan runs the original shop whilst his brother Mani, ably assisted by Paul, runs the Cheetham Hill Rd. branch.
Closed on Saturdays, Kabana is otherwise open daily from 11.0 until 17.00.
The setup is almost identical, this is – fast food – the majority of the fayre being stored in kettles, and so is ready to serve. Bread and Kebap are of course cooked to order.
The significant difference between the two outlets: here the rota for the Daily Specials is clearly posted. Bateera (Quail) served on a Wednesday has become the Hector’s primary visit for coming here in recent times, suitably smothered in – foliage. (Phone and reserve a portion before committing to travel.)
