Rehmat’s Restaurant – 249 George St., Aberdeen AB25 1ED Scotland
Established in 2020, Rehmat’s is one of only two Aberdeen Curry Houses which distinctly serves Punjabi cuisine. Mein Host and Chef, (Rehmat?) identified currently as – Ehsan’s father, was brought up in Glasgow’s West End, what finer pedigree? He has lived in Aberdeen for some thirty years.
Punjabi Goshat is served on-the-bone as this must surely be. The Fish Karahi is in the style more associated with Bradford Curry Houses.
On arrival, one finds oneself standing in Krepes ‘n’ Kones, an ice-cream parlour. The restaurant is to the rear along a corridor to the left.
Visited midweek in July 2024, there was a modest Buffet on offer. No price was quoted, but a Ramadan Buffet (£17.95) has previously been advertised at weekends only.
Desi Nashta is available on Sunday mornings: 10.00 until 13.00.
